Top 10 Korean Dramas of 2019



Everybody Loves Korean Dramas but to be honest, most of us are tired because most Korean dramas were the same with a rich guy and poor girl and other noticeable cliches that annoy the hell out us. But luckily this year was one of the best years for a Korean drama fan. So, guys welcome to my blog and today we are going to talk about the Best Korean Dramas of 2019.  

10. Haechi 



Based on the real-life characters four people from different walks of life helps Prince Lee Geum to become the King and reform the Saheonbu. 

Cast: Jung II Woo, Kwon Yool, Goo Ara, Park Hoon

9. When Camila Blossoms


Dongbaek is an orphan who became a single mother when she grew up she falls in love with a police officer with a heart of gold in her small town. This romance drama focuses on how single mothers are treated with bias and how our heroine will defy the social stigma surrounding her. 

Cast: Gong Hyo Jin, Kang Ha Neul, Kim Ji Suk, Son Da Mi 


8. One Spring Night


One Spring Night tells the tale of two people who fell in love despite the whole world telling them not to. This drama focuses on the complicated relationship between the present generation and past generation and how past generation impose their own bigotry on the present generation.




 Lee Jung In is a woman in her 30's. She works as a librarian. Yoo Ji Ho works as a pharmacist and he has a warm heart. Lee Jung In falls in love with Yoo Ji Hoo a single father while she is in an unhappy relationship with her long term boyfriend. 

7.  Hotel Del Luna



Hotel Del Luna is a love story between a Man Wol a cursed CEO of a hotel for ghosts and her human assistant manager who hates her at first but later becomes the most important person in her life. As they both fall in an ill-fated love. 

6. My Country: New Age


Set during the end of the Goryeo period to the early Joseon period. Two friends aim their swords against one another due to their differences in opinion about "my country." 





Seo Hwi loses everything because of his best friend Sun Ho's father Nam Jun. He joins hands with Lee Bang Won and takes revenge on Nam Jun and Sun Ho, on the other hand, is conflicted to choose which side his father or his best friend. This is fictionalized version of Six Flying dragons involving fictional characters. 


5. Arthadal Chronicles


Set in a mythical continent of Arthadal and follows the story of three children of prophecy and a man who fights them. 

Eun Som was born with fate to bring disaster to Arthdal. Due to this his mother's struggles to save him, he goes through hardships and grows up. He appears again in Arthdal. Ta Gon is a war hero of Arthdal. He has paved the way for Arthdal to become a prosperous city nation and he is the most powerful person in Arthdal. He dreams of becoming the first Emperor of Arthdal. 

Tan Ya was born with the same fate as Eun Som. She is the successor of the Wahan Tribe. Going through hardships, she realized her mission. She lives under the highest honour and her ambition is to become a politician and protect her tribe.

Cast: Song Joong Ki, Kim Ji Won, Yang Dong Gun, Kim Ok Vin 

4. Doctor John 


Doctor John is a fresh take on the medical genre and follows the story of doctors who tackle rare medical cases. 




Follows the story of Cha Yo Han a brilliant doctor who can diagnose any patient in 10 seconds and Kang Shin young a warm and kind doctor who wants to follow in the footsteps of her parents. 

3. Extraordinary You


Extraordinary You is a beautiful story about a high school student who realises that she is a side character and doesn't have much time to live but then she meets haru by chance an extra character like her they both fall in love but can they get their happy ending?  

Cast: Kim Hye Yoon, Rowoon, Lee Jae Wook, Jung Gun Joo, Lee Na Eun, Kim Young Dae.

Follows the story of strong and successful women of the 21st century, who chose to not be a wife or a mother and successfully work without discrimination or impediments. 

Bae Tae Mi is a hard working career woman and done work most of the time and has she sacrificed too much of her personal life for success. She only looks at those who could rival her and one day at an arcade Park Mo Gun a video game composer defeats her in a video game. He falls in love with her due to her competitive spirit.

1. Kingdom Season 1 


 The kingdom is a fresh take on the zombie genre set in medieval Korea with the complex storyline about the differences between working-class and nobles and how nobles are safe from the danger and peasants are eaten by zombies or starved to death. 

Based on the webtoon kingdom of gods, the story follows crown prince as he uncovers the dark conspiracy of the queen and her father while also learning the real reason behind the infection in Joseon.
