Team Bulldog Off Duty Investigation Episode 1 Live Recap - Watch It or Skip It

The episode begins with the news of women disappearing with their cars in blind spots in Seoul gyeonggi-do province. Then we see a scene where a man in black clothes kidnapping a woman who just parked her car. It turns out that only woman drivers with expensive cars are getting kidnapped. Another kidnap takes place in a building parking lot. They took the woman to a gang boss and they check her belongings and finds out that the woman is broke. It seems like they are a gang who kidnaps women since they are physically weaker than their male counterparts. After looting them, they sell them to human traffickers or take their organs. 

Since this woman is a PD who is very popular, they decide to just kill her and bury her to avoid further trouble. They did a hole and drags her to bury but this scene is getting recorded by a man who is hiding behind a pillar. They threw her on the hole and she makes horse-like noises and it turns out that she works together with someone to bring this gang down. But the guy recording doesn't help her, and another guy shows behind her. That guy takes the recording guy to the gang and they question both the PD and Him to know about their relationship. They both deny that they are not wife and husband when a gang asks them. The cameras guy calls emergency services secretly, and the gang finds out and takes the mobile. 

The police say don't make prank calls; you are too old for this and the gang boss after finding out that police found nothing cuts the call.  The camera guy takes out an electric taser stick and attacks the gang but they easily take him down and throws him on the same hole they threw PD. Then our detective Jin Kang Ho shows up and takes down the gang members. Soon his other friend Teddy Jung shows up with a Bollywood like entrance by kicking a guy from the top floor. He takes down every enemy effortlessly, and soon another ally Maen Son shows up, then Yeon Jung shows up and the gang members make fun of her only to get an ass-whooping. 

The gang of thugs get arrested in the morning. It seems like Jin Kang Ho secretly formed a team to take down the criminals and nobody knows about it. They all assume that he fought and defeated them single-handedly. However, his colleagues are not pleased with his work since he broke so many rules. We find out that the camera guy and PD woman are not in this together with our detective. They were working independently. They both complain that he took all the credit. It looks like he knows about their plan and used it to his own advantage. The PD and the profiler are working for a show called 'Fact Check' and that show has low ratings. They both threaten the detective that they will run an episode on him saying that he let innocent citizen get in trouble to get fame. He makes a deal with him, saying he won't let the press know about this incident so they can air this episode on tv.  

He takes their statement and lets them go. The PD Kang Moo-young receives a phone call from her mother. Her mother criticizes her for using her own brother to get a rating that resulted in her brother stopping his business and becoming a monk. But she argues backs that her brother sold faulty products. Jin Kang ho doesn't keep the word and the show airs. Moo Young begs her superiors to not to cancel her show. Her superior gives her a chance on condition that f she gets a 4.5 TRP, she can run the show. Detective Jin has lunch at his home along with his mother and when his mother asks him to come to his father's death anniversary, he says that he will never come to the anniversary. He complains about his parents borrowing money and she justifies it by saying that it was because of Detective's health when he was young. He gets a call from Detective Min, a junior detective; he asks detective Jin about evidence like fingerprints and DNA but the detective Jin says that there is a ton of evidence in the form of stolen cars and stuff.

Meanwhile, Teddy Jung gives instructions to his employees Maen Son and Yeong Jung to cut the fruits. They were the same people who helped Detective Jin to fight the kidnapping Mob. They respect detective very much and detective for their help helped them to avoid business suspension and also gives them money. He leaves after having an orange juice. The scene cuts and time goes back to 2006. A man in black clothes kills a male student listening to music in the night time. Now the scene cuts to the same location but to present-day and another murder takes place once again the victim gets stabbed to death. In the morning Detective MIn and Jin arrives at the location and collects the evidence. The culprit like last time left the weapon at the crime scene. The suspect scars the victim's face with a knife and made him look similar to the joker. The police identify that the victim's name is Gu Hyeong Jin an ethics teacher at high school. Detective Jin Kang Ho collects hair on the victim's body. Now the scene cuts to tak won the camera guy who helped the PD. 

He owns a detective agency and the mother who found her daughter thanks him for helping her and gives him compensation. She asks him to help her save her show and asks him to solve case police messed up to boost the ratings. The case that happened in 2006 which remained unsolved unlike the present case, the weapon at that case was axe not a knife. He used to be the profiler for that case and he tells her that suspect is someone with anger management issues and he chopped the victim's arms to say to the world that be careful what you do with your hands. 

Detective Jin finds a fresh lead about Gu Hyeon Jin the victim of the present case he learns that the victim missed called one number hundred times and that number isn't even on his contact list. Detective Min gets a call from the forensic, and they found fingerprints, but they are unidentified. Meanwhile, PD Moon interviews the 2006 murder victim's mother, and she uses Jong Dae's computer and finds out that he may have known culprit on the internet. She reads comments on his blog and sees a comment saying sorry. She looks for the id of the commenter who goes by the name bumblebee. Meanwhile, detective Min goes to the victim's school to ask about him and he asks teachers and students some questions. He finds out that the teacher took care of bullied kids.

 PD Moon and the detective find the same person who killed both victims. They both react at the same destination. Jo Bang Seok the suspect performs illegal cosmetic treatment to people. Detective Jin confronts him and Bang Seok calls his gang looks like he has a lot of muscle power. Detective Jin's secret team arrives and they all fight and the gangsters lose the suspect runs and both Detective and PD chase and capture him. They both ask questions about their cases and we now learn that he is just a witness, not a murderer. Several gamers had a problem with the first victim so they planned to kick his ass and our suspect came to the location right in the murder's time. So that means one of the guys who wanted to kick the victim's ass acted on his own. But the suspect denies that they have nothing to do with the murder. He tells them that the second victim the teacher sold runaway kids to human traffickers and also begged the suspect to do plastic surgery.

 That means he was not running away from the suspect. PD and profiler go to mortician to get fresh leads, they later go to the guy who performed the autopsy. The Mortician sneaks into mortuary and photographs the victim's face. Now it is confirmed that both murders are committed by the same dude after the fingerprints from both murder weapons match. Detective and PD and profiler run into each other. Detective taunts them, saying that he will beat them by solving it on his own. They both find out that the fingerprints matched after looking at the file in the detective's hand. The detective threatens the plastic surgeon to tell what he knows, otherwise; he has to face a lot of criminal charges that will shut him in the jail forever. We learn that teacher wasn't evil but was looking for a student who ran away from home. While looking he found that student got surgery from the plastic surgeon. He somehow got the number and called the surgeon about his student. Then one day the victim and surgeon ran into each other at a club fabric. While looking for his student the teacher ended up getting into a fight with a VIP client. Detective Jin Goes to the club and asks the footage of the VIP room but the guy in the club gives him money. He doesn't give up any information until detective threatens him and says he will find information that might close the club permanently. He intentionally places moulded sausages and kicks out dustbin and takes photographs to threaten him. 

PD goes to a guy's house who the plastic surgeon suggested before and she finds out about a dark web website about killing animals. She finds out that the weapon axe used in the murder is the same as the one used in that video. She asks him to track the IP address. The detective thanks to the security footage. They both find the culprit's identity at once it is the same guy teacher fought at the club. He is the Kim Min Seok, director of Idol Pharmaceutics.
